Mountain Top Fibers offers luxury yarns and rovings for fiber artists - knitters and spinners, crocheters, felters and weavers.
Each bunny, sheep and goat employee is precious, and the fibers they produce are harvested with care. At this time we have just two sheep, fifteen angora goats, in white and colors, and the four ARBA recognized breeds of angora rabbit (numbers fluctuate).
We offer breeding stock for fiber artists, or apartment sheep for those unable to keep livestock, at selected times of the year.
Angora goats, headed up by Frankie, give us luscious mohair; English, French, Giant and Satin Angora rabbits contribute their fiber, and once blended with wool or other fibers, are made into various weight yarns and offered at a few fiber fairs during the year, and in local shops.
Each year, the blend is a little different. Check our offerings on this web store, along with our other products such as market baskets and wool wash. "Yarns and Fibers" is a separate page on this site, please be sure to check it out.
Yarn is a tactile experience, for sure, so if you are not sure of a product by our description, please be sure to drop an email and we will try to answer any questions you may have.
